Walking tours on Greek islands
Strolling down island alleyways is one of the great summer treats on holiday in Greece. So we’ve gone around your favourite Greek islands and explored the main towns (usually known simply as Hora) and put together walking tours you can easily follow.
On Rhodes, you’ll be transported to a medieval world of chivalry and knights and on Corfu, you’ll find an old town influenced by the Byzantines, Venetians, French and British (all with an unmistakably Greek air). Picture-perfect island towns
Just imagine yourself exploring the labyrinth of whitewashed alleyways on a Cyclades island: sugar-cube houses, domed churches, cobblestones, pots of pink and purple bougainvillea … and, as is so often the case, a Venetian castle perched right at the top of town with views to neighbouring islands.
